Nokia Lumia 800 Mobile Review - Features | Specification | Price

T-Mobile and Nokia is expected to announce next week that Lumia 710 Windows Phone, and possibly Lumia 800 also comes to America

Lumia Nokia phones, the handset maker first devices to run Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system, a product of an agreement between Nokia and Microsoft announced in February and signed in April, which is reportedly worth billions of dollars.

At the top is magnetically held flap that hides a microUSB port. Beside it is a "push and push" space that houses MicroSim and a 3.5 mm port. The speaker grille and buttons for power, volume and camera shutter are the only other "openings".

It has a 3.7-inch anti-glare polarizer AMOLED screen makes it easy to view content, even in direct sunlight. Although the screen looks great on its own, looks super AMOLED screen on the less expensive Samsung Omnia W Windows phone better than side to side.

Overall Lumia gets our vote for the best Windows phone as general appearance and design go. Inside is a 1.4GHz processor with 512 MB RAM and 16 GB can not expand storage (no microSD slot). Metro UI works in a similar way as we have seen in previous phones - vivid tiles, smooth navigation and cool effects.

How Nokia scores over other Windows Phone 7.5 device, with its exclusive apps - Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive (Nokia Music is expected to arrive later). Nokia Maps is similar mapping applications like Google Maps and Bing Maps, although it only gives a 2D display only and have not signed cards support yet.

Nokia Drive is the star of the show here - free, worldwide turn-by-turn navigation with offline maps, 3D landmarks and a choice of several languages (including Hindi) makes Lumia 800 to double up as a perfectly connected and always the GPS device.

The device has an 8MP camera with a 28mm F2.2 wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens. When it comes to performance, showed the camera to be a little letdown. It took a good quality shots, but sometimes the colors were washed out. The dual LED flash tends to overexpose close subjects.

Video recording in 720p HD resolution was much more impressive, with vibrant colors and good sound. Battery life of the phone is similar to most high-end smart phones - that last one day, at best, with a mix of talks, music, camera use and download / use apps.

At Rs29, 999, 800 Lumia is priced too high a price sensitive market like India. At the same price, you can get Samsung Galaxy S II with Android 2.3, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, dual core processor, 16 GB + expandable storage and superb 8MP rear/2MP front of the camera.

If you are looking for something with Windows Phone 7.5, the Samsung Omnia W a higher value for money of Rs21 000 It also has a 1.4 GHz processor, 8 GB storage, 5 megapixel camera and a finer 3.7-inch super AMOLED display in a lighter 116g body.
