Jim Bob released an official statement on the TLC website says: "Earlier today, during a routine doctor's appointments, but Michelle and I have the sad news that we lost the baby. Michelle is resting comfortably at home with support from the whole family. We are grateful for all thoughts and prayers, but asks for privacy during this difficult time. "
Michelle, 45, told People that she had to go home to break the news to other children. "We had just talked about baby names last night, and they were excited about naming a boy or a girl. There has been a very sad disappointment."
Jim Bob Dugger said in a statement that he and his wife, Michelle, was told by a doctor on call Thursday morning that she had miscarried. He says that she is resting comfortably at home and asked for privacy.
She said that the family will choose a name for they know that the child was a boy or girl, and so they plan a funeral service.
