Samsung Announces to Launch 11.6-inch Tablet

Samsung is ready to launch a Galaxy Tab product in February with a massive screen, according to a report. The company is ready to launch a new 11.6-inch tablet.

According to a new report on BGR, the Korean giant will be unveiled the 11.6-inch tablet running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system at Mobile World Congress scheduled for February 2012.

The website says that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 is expected to be announced at the Mobile World Congress in February, will run Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich", Google latest mobile operating system.

Although the new tablet will have a much bigger screen than the current Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, BGR says that the product is "bigger" because of the fact that it will have "a thinner bezel with amazing 2560 x 1600 resolution."

A screen resolution at this level would turn Apple's Retina Display, but rumors say that Apple is preparing a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution in the iPad 3, is also expected for a 2012 release.

Samsung Galaxy 11.6 will obviously have a dual-core Exynos 5250 CPU running at 2GHz. It will come with Samsung's dual-core Cortex A15 chip.

The tablet will also offer Android Beam media synchronization with a Galaxy Nexus, along with a "special wireless docking mode" for games and other applications in HD-TV as a rival to Apple's AirPlay and Apple TV.

Samsung, which currently offers 7.7 inch, 8.9 inch and 10.1 inch tablets in the Galaxy Tab range, as well as the 5.3 inch Galaxy Note, had no comment on the report.
