Sony Releases 2 Android tablets in India

Today Sony has launched two Android tablets for the Indian market, revealed Tablet S and P Tablet Sony 3G tablets, which will be launched in the middle of next month.

Tables creates with Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread, 1 GB RAM and 5-megapixel camera. Tablet S has 16 GB of internal storage and is available on both WiFi only [RS 29990] and WiFi 3G [Rs 33990] versions. The tablets also have a "fold" feature that lets users wirelessly synchronize tablet with DLNA-compatible devices, including PCs, Bravia televisions and other, thus giving them the opportunity to share and play the files - audio, video and photos - on larger screens.

"Today we launch a tablet that supports Wi-Fi connection. In mid-January, we will release tablets that will have both 3G connectivity and Wi-Fi. We expect the 3G-enabled tablets to contribute 80 percent of our total tablet sales in this fiscal year, "Sony CEO Masaru Tamagawa told reporters here.


While Tablet S is a regular rectangular plate with a 9.4-inch screen and 1280x800 pixels resolution, Tablet P a clamshell with dual LCD screens. Both screens can also be combined into a larger one.

Both tablets are PlayStation certified, and has popular games like Crash Bandicoot and Pinball Heroes pre-installed.
